Ramanathan V. Guha was one of the founders of the RDF project at W3C. His MCF work (originally at Apple, then XML-ized at Netscape) was a major technical ancestor to W3C's RDF, refining the PICS-NG model into the now-familiar graph-based design. Guha also made major contributions to Cyc, and while at Netscape, to the Mozilla browser.
